2014 Spring Picnic

Great weather, Great food, Great time. That just about says it all.

We gathered at Rothenbach Park for our annual spring picnic and 2×4 contest. The club supplied the meat, Sonny’s BBQ, and beverages and everyone brought a dish. I particularly liked the deserts, umm.

After we had stuffed ourselves, we voted on the contest entries. There were 6 entries. Mike Swart took first with his band saw box that was in the shape of a tree; he even had enough left over to make some little trees and animalsĀ  to complete the forest. Reuel Detweiler took second with his intarsia alligator. And, Susan Darovec took third with her Baker and Brewer plaque. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the people who put time and effort into making a project.

If you missed this event you should really think about coming next year. I can’t think of a nicer way to spend an afternoon.
