Florida West Coast Woodworkers

August Demonstration meeting

This months meeting was at Craig and Mary Lou’s house in Nokomis. They have a beautiful house right on the water. Since the house is raised up to meet code, the whole ground floor is garage and shops, yes shops plural. There is the garden tool and irrigation repair shop, the woodworking shop, the paint shop, the down stairs office, and the wood storage room. The walls are covered with tool mainly on magnetic strips. There are a lot of stationary tools, table saw, band saws, joiner, planner, etc. Next we went up to the house and saw some of the furniture they have made and toured the house. They both like woodworking and work together on projects. Although it really wasn’t a demonstration type meeting, everyone was fascinated with the shop and house and really enjoyed themselves.
