Last Saturday 3 of our members attended the simi annual meeting of the Florida chapter of SAPFM at the School of Woodwork in Tampa (schoolofwoodwork.com). Whether you like period furniture or not, you have to admire the skill and patients involved in making this kind of furniture. 
There were demonstrations, and show and tell.
I videoed some of the demonstrations and they will be available after I finish editing them.
I particularly enjoyed the demonstration on how to make the elliptical fan.
