Fred and Denny have taken on a project to make turned ornaments for all the houses in Fred’s development that were damaged by the hurricane. Several hundred are needed. They purchased a duplicator, made a pattern and went to work. They are making them out of cedar which is so soft it comes off the duplicator very fuzzy. Then Denny takes it to another lathe and smooths it up using traditional lathe tools. Then they are painted white.
After the demo we visited, looked at some of Freds other work, and ate goodies
